NEW Flexifuel SySTEM(PATENT PENDING)Our New Flexifuel systemtakes away the need to choosebetween a wood burning stove, solidfuel stove or multi fuel stove, allowingyou to use the fuel of your choice.• Unlike traditional grates the Flexigrate’s design reducesthe gaps between grate bars. Standard gaps cause heatloss by allowing hot embers to escape, un-burnt into theash pan.• The crucible shape of the Flexigrate ensures that fuel isconstantly fed towards the centre of the fire thereforethere is no un-burnt fuel.• The Flexigrate’s unique dimpled and grooved finish on thegrate bars fill with a layer of ash, thus protecting themfrom hot embers and extending their life.• The Flexiigrate’s unique crucible shape helps to build up anatural layer of ash. THE ENVIRONMENT & FuEl TypESTHE ENVIRONMENTCoal, oil and gas are fossil fuels that have evolved fromthe decomposition of natural materials over millions ofyears. They emit high levels of carbon dioxide into theatmosphere during the combustion process which candamage the environment.Wood is a carbon neutral fuel because the amount ofcarbon dioxide it will emit when burnt is only equalto the amount absorbed during the life of the tree.Therefore burning wood is kinder to the environmentthan any other domestic fuel.SOLID FUELWOODTo burn solid fuel, your stove must have a cast irongrate. The burn will be controlled by the Primary AirControl, which controls the flow of air underneaththe grate. Villager multi fuel stoves are designed toburn solid fuels overnight.It is important to ensure that your fuel is intendedfor use in a stove. Arada recommend the use ofHETAS approved smokeless fuels which have beendeemed suitable for use on closed appliances,including multi fuel stoves. These include:• Ancit• Coalite Newflame• Homefire (including Ecoal and Coals)• Maxibrite• Phurnacite• Pureheat• Supertherm• Sunbrite• TaybriteBurning wood requires a little effort and planning;to burn efficiently, wood needs to be well-seasonedwith a moisture content of below 25%. You can buyready-to-use wood locally or, if you have access to afree supply, you can chop your own. Once chopped,the logs need to be stored for at least a year in a dryshelter with good air circulation. Burning unseasonedwood can seriously damage your stove and thebuild-up of tar and other hazardous vapours itcauses may lead to a chimney fire.
