CRAIG RICATO
COMPANY SECRETARY
AND GENERAL COUNSEL
Craig Ricato has enjoyed a
distinguished legal career and
was formerly a partner in a leading
Brisbane-based law firm, with
specific expertise in the area of
corporate law.
Admitted as a Legal Practitioner
of the Supreme Court in 2001 after
graduating with a Bachelor of Laws
with First Class Honours, his early
career background is in Forensic
Accounting.
In his position at Linc Energy,
Craig ensures compliance with
the regulatory requirements of
both the ASX and ASIC, provides
legal guidance to the Board, and
manages Linc Energy’s legal affairs.
KOBUS TERBLANCHE
GENERAL MANAGER,
GAS TO LIQUIDS
Kobus Terblanche has 20 years’
experience in GTL project
management, operations and
technology management and is
responsible for commercialising
Linc Energy’s GTL business. With
a Masters degree in Chemical
Engineering, specialising in Fischer-
Tropsch slurry technology, Kobus
started his career in basic R&D
with Sasol.
During his career, Kobus has played
a key role in the establishment
and management of organisations
such as Mossgas and PetroSA. He
also turned around and managed
a refining, storage and logistics
business for Glencore in the
Democratic Republic of Congo.
Kobus has an active interest
in business optimisation and
enhancement and has furthered
his expertise through studies at
Stanford University (Executive
Management) and the University
of London (Financial Economics).
NICK COX
MANAGER, GEOLOGY
AND EXPLORATION
Nick Cox has 15 years’ international
experience in the energy services
sector, beginning in the North Sea,
Africa, the former Soviet Union, and
more recently in Asia. He obtained
an Honours degree in Geochemistry
at the Postgraduate Institute of
Sedimentology in Reading, England.
Nick’s previous role as Global
Operations Manager in a coal
seam gas services business saw
him manage teams of engineers
and geologists across the world,
executing a diverse range of energy
projects including coal, oil and
gas exploration and evaluation. He
played a key role in the growth and
success of the company, leading to
a takeover by a large multinational oil
services company.
One of the earliest members of the
Linc Energy UCG technical team as
a Coal Geologist, Nick now leads
the Drilling and Exploration team,
evaluating and testing the diverse
range of targets in Linc Energy’s
exploration portfolio. His experience
in the UCG team greatly assists the
high grading of new UCG projects.
DAVID SMITH
COMMERCIAL MANAGER
David Smith has experience
developing business in
infrastructure, energy, mining,
manufacturing, construction,
telecommunication, generation and
utility industries. As the Commercial
Manager, David is responsible for
developing markets for products
and bi-products of the innovative
UCG and GTL technologies. He is
also responsible for government
relations in Queensland and
managing Linc Energy’s interests
in Yerostigaz in Uzbekistan.
Previously the Operations Manager
for an engineering, environment
and architecture company in the
Middle East, David delivered across
large projects and multi-disciplines.
Prior to that, he was the Chairman
of Infrastructure Association
of Queensland and held many
strategic development management
positions within industry.
David has an MBA from The
University of Queensland, an
Honours degree in Engineering
from the University of Wollongong
and is a Fellow of the Australian
Institute of Company Directors.
MATT BUCHANAN
MANAGER,
ENVIRONMENTAL AFFAIRS
Matt has enjoyed a successful and
diverse career in environmental
management in Queensland over
the last 15 years. He has spent
most of this time in the mining
sector, including as a regulator of
Queensland policy and legislation.
He has successfully completed
challenging projects in the
metalliferous, minerals processing
and mineral sands sectors and
has had significant exposure to
heavy industrial settings, including
smelting, refining and power
generation.
Matt brings to Linc Energy
skills in environmental impact
assessment, project management
and environmental systems and
compliance. In his role, Matt is
responsible for gaining statutory
project approvals, implementing
environmental policy and systems
and managing environmental affairs.
MARIANO MINOTTI
PROJECT MANAGER,
LINC CARBON SOLUTIONS
Mariano Minotti is a highly qualified
Industrial Engineer, with a Masters
in Technology and Management
of Energy Companies from the
ISE, in partnership with the IESE
Business School.
Starting his career in Argentina
as a production engineer for
Kimberly-Clark, he was later
awarded a scholarship by Repsol-
YPF to undertake his Masters
degree in Spain. Prior to joining
Linc Energy, he held a number
of engineering roles including
project management, financial and
technical analysis of investment
projects and production planning
and control.
With international experience and
a versatile background, Mariano
heads up Linc Carbon Solutions,
a subsidiary of Linc Energy which
aims to develop a bioreactor that
will allow greenhouse gas emitters
to safely recycle their carbon
dioxide into oxygen and biomass.
