About the CastMaureen HughesMaureen, a sophomore at Mississippi State University majoring in theatre<strong>and</strong> accounting, is thrilled to be making her debut on the SCT stage. Afterhelping with tech for five SCT shows, she has officially become a regularat the theater. You may have seen her in the recent productions of SortaLove Songs <strong>and</strong> The Apple Tree, in which she played “Eve”…unexpectedly. She would like to thank her friends <strong>and</strong> family for onceagain supporting her in all her theatre endeavors, <strong>and</strong> she knows for a factthat everyone will love the show…not that it’s expected or anything.Amy Dupire JonesAmy hasn't set foot on stage since high school, <strong>and</strong> the only drama in herlife comes from homeschooling her four young children. Her wonderfulhusb<strong>and</strong> has the joy of putting them all to bed on rehearsal <strong>and</strong>performance nights, <strong>and</strong> that's what keeps Amy looking so young <strong>and</strong> ...sane(-ish). When she's not herding kids, Amy writes fiction <strong>and</strong> teachesfor an online teachers certification program. She is grateful to the cast ofThe A, B, C's of Broadway for making her initiation back to the stage somuch fun. It's been a joy to sing <strong>and</strong> play with such warm <strong>and</strong> talentedpeople.Brenda MayoBrenda is happy to be a part of Mrs. Shuster's Glee Club. Brenda is a third-year junior, having transfered from St. Nicholas School in the Bronx.Brenda performed in SCT's regional glee competition Let Freedom Sing<strong>and</strong> 10 out of 10: A Perfect Score. She also assisted Mr. La Foe's dramaclass production of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare[Abridged]. Brenda thanks her favorite teachers – Ms. <strong>Stamps</strong>, Ms.Oppenheimer, <strong>and</strong> Ms. Sorenson – as well as Coach Lesley for all oftheir help. She thinks they all deserve a big raise. (“Do you think that willget me an ‘A’ in their classses?”)Tracey MillsapsGetting once again to be a cast member of the SCT summer musical issuch a treat for Tracey. “Sharing the stage with all this great talent is awonderful way to spend a summer <strong>and</strong> helps to satisfy my longing forBroadway lights.” She thanks <strong>Alison</strong> <strong>and</strong> Bonnie for their great organizeddirection <strong>and</strong> Carole <strong>and</strong> Bruce for sharing their musical talents with thegroup. She also sends a big thanks to her husb<strong>and</strong>, Paul, who patientlyhelped her learn her lyrics!
