Epsom Derby Day Painted ScreenA very decorative four-fold screen, now hung as a painting, of an Edwardian day at the races,based on Derby day. This colourful piece is full of activity, the horses and jockeys are flat out,the place is packed with race-goers, whilst in the foreground a pickpocket is at work. The freeflowing sketchy style of the painter gives a great sense of movement. On the left hand sideof the screen is a tiered stand very similar to that designed by E.
