Didn’t think so! The residents of Thompson Houseenjoyed seeing all of these and more when Zoo To You came with alltheir tiny friends for a visit. The unanimous favorite was Sammy the BallPython pictured above. Everyone wanted a picture with it around theirneck. Lucy the Chinchilla was witnessed having her bath in dust to keepher dry and her fur so soft. Charlotte the Tarantula scared many of theresidents but she is very friendly and not poisonous at all. She has 8 eyesand 8 legs and comes from Chile in South America.Rounding out the show was Thomas the African Spurred Tortoise andWilbur the House Hippo. Residents can’t wait to have a different group ofanimals from the Zoo come to visit this year.During a Resident Council Meetingat Thompson House in September, residents were asked what qualityof life means to them? Oneresident responded that going onoutings on the bus was somethingthat meant a lot to her. Several residents havebeen intrigued enough to take afew lessons and others just lovehaving the opportunity to get backinto using it regularly. It was nice to fulfill the wish andsee the reward it brings to many.8
