The Clocktower is the ancient symbol of the city of Graz (to be found on any number of souvenirs) and was
built in 1560. The Clocktower houses one of the oldest bells in the province (1382).
One of the major attractions of Graz is the Provincial Armoury (Landeszeughaus). This building hosts one of the
richest collections of historical arms - with about 29,000 arms of all kinds, it is one of the most important
arsenals in the world.
Eggenberg Castle is one of the largest and most beautiful castles of Styria. It was built in 1625 by Hans Ulrich
von Eggenberg on the basis of his own plans and those of Pietro de Pomis. The castle has 365 windows - a view
for every day of the year.
In the marvellous castle park, wild animals live here in their natural habitat.
