The staff at Cochrane’s local multi-user sport facility, Spray Lake Sawmills Family
Sports Centre (SLSFSC), want users to know that it’s business as usual at the
local sport centre as the facility makes way for the coming aquatic/curling centre
expansion, slated to open in 2017 at 800 Griffin Rd E.
“Even though there is construction happening on site on the new aquatic/curling
centre, the goal is to have SLSFSC continue to operate as normal,” explained general
manager Robin Mitchell. “Customers will still have access to the full line of drop-in
programs they have come to expect - group fitness classes, sticks and pucks, pickle
ball, public skating and giant KID ZONE bouncers.”
And there really is something for everyone in your family. With on-site childcare
services available, mama can get her workout on while dad takes a spin on the
ice. For kids aged seven years and up, there are nine weeks of summer ‘Fit Kids’
camps to choose from. The centre also offers various camps during holiday breaks
throughout the year. Kids birthday parties are a big hit for locals, with ample space
for KID ZONE bouncer users. Zumba parties are a fun option for little ones who like
to shake things up.
