Gujarat is aone of the well developed industrialized state and has a significantcontribution in industrial as well as economic development of thecountry.M/s. Vinayak TMT Bars Pvt. Ltd. is the existing unit located at SurveyNo. 25/1, 25/2 & 24p, Bayad Road, Village: Barot na Mosampur, Post:Sampa, Dahegam, Dist.: Gandhinagar, Gujarat. From theestablishment, the unit has been engaged in manufacturing of TMTbars with 2450 TPM production capacity. Now, the unit proposes toexpand its production capacity up to 12000 TPM. Thus, additional 9550TPM of TMT bars will be manufactured. The unit also intends to installmelting furnace of 20 TPH (10x2) capacity to satisfy industrial heatrequirement. The proposed expansion will be in the same premises &due to proposed expansion there will be addition of some newmachineries and related civil structures.The total area of the premises is 46474 m 2 , out of which 32531 m 2(Approx) areas has been already utilized for existing unit. Theproposed expansion will be in the same premises. There will not beany additional land requirement for the proposed expansion.E-2 PROJECT DESCRIPTIONLocation of ProjectVinayak TMT Bars Pvt. Latitude: 22 0 11’’04” NLongitude: 72 0 52’55’’ ESan Envirotech Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabadin association with Team Labs & Consultants, HyderabadElevation from sea level is 78.94 meter (from Mean Sea level).Site SelectionUnit has been already in existence since long and is familiar with thesurrounding environment; therefore, it becomes easy for the unit toexpand the project in the same premises. In addition, there will not beany industrial effluent generation from the proposed project activities.Thus, it will become easier for the management to expand the project.The selection of the project site at this location was considered on theavailability of the following amenities:• The nearest town Dehgam and city Ahmedabad are 6 km and 25km away from the project site, which is very well connected withother parts of the country by road & rail.• Availability of all basic facilities like fuel, water, power, man power,raw materials, etc.• Good communication and transportation facilities• No R & R will be required• No national parks or wildlife habitats fall within 10 km radius oflocation.Alternative LocationsSuitability of transportation facilities; and availability of existinginfrastructure such as power, roads, telecommunications, water at theexisting project, the unit has decided to develop proposed expansionat the same premises. Therefore there is no need of alternativelocations.E-3 PROPOSED PRODUCTION CAPACITIES OF PLANTVinayak envisages increasing the production capacity of TMT bars from2450 TPM to 12000 TPM with installation of melting furnace of 20 TPH(10x2) capacities.Production detail is given hereunder:EIA report of M/s.
