An appropriate environmental managementplan was also delineated to minimize the adverse impacts.E-5 AIR ENVIRONMENTThe ambient air quality monitoring was carried out at six AAQMlocations, with a frequency of twice a week, to assess the existingsub-regional air quality status during the month of Jan-11 to March-11. Respirable Dust Sampler along with the analytical methodsprescribed by CPCB was used for carrying out air quality monitoring.At all these sampling locations; PM 10 , SO 2 and NOx were monitored on24-hourly basis to enable the comparison with ambient air qualitystandards prescribed by the Central Pollution Control Board.EIA report of M/s. Ltd., Ahmedabadin association with Team Labs & Consultants, HyderabadThe data on concentrations of various pollutants were processed fordifferent statistical parameters like arithmetic mean, standarddeviation, minimum and maximum concentration and variouspercentile values.Particulate Matter (PM 10 )An average and 98 th percentile value of 24-hourly PM 10 values at allthe locations ranged between 53.9-60.1 μg/m 3 and 61.0-69.9 μg/m 3whereas the stipulated standard of CPCB is 100 μg/m 3 .Sulphur Dioxide (SO 2 )An average and 98 th percentile value of 24-hourly SO 2 value ofarithmetic mean at all the locations ranged between 9.0-12.5 μg/m 3and 9.7-14.2 μg/m 3 respectively, which are well within the stipulatedstandards of 80 μg/m 3 .Oxides of Nitrogen (NO x )An average and 98 th percentile value of 24 hourly NO x value ofarithmetic mean at all the locations ranged between 9.3-12.0 μg/m 3and 10.4-14.7 μg/m 3standards stipulated by CPCB (i.e. 80 μg/m 3 ).E-6 WATER ENVIRONMENTGround water qualityrespectively, which are much lower than theColor: All the samples were color less meeting desirable norms.pH: All the samples meet the desirable standards (pH ranges from 7.3to 7.8).Total Dissolved Solids (TDS): TDS in samples ranges from 1380mg/L (Nandol) to 1740 mg/L (Mosampur). All the samples meet thepermissible limit of 2000 mg/L, (If alternate sources of potable waterare not available).Calcium: Calcium contents in the water ranges from 40 mg/L (Nandol& Lihoda) to 60 mg/L (Mosampur), all the samples meet the desirablelimit of 75 mg/L.EIA report of M/s.
