As drug-kits under RCH-II could not be procured in time, IFA, ORS and antibiotics forpneumonia could not be supplied to the districts.Regarding Family Planning the high unmet need according to NFHS-3 (5 forSpacing methods and 7.6 for Limiting methods) is mainly due to pressure groups opposingsterilization operations and lack of trained surgeons and lack of awareness for accessing theservices. The male Sterilization is 0.5% only and Female Sterilization is 8.1% (NFHS-3).Steps will be taken for increasing the limiting methods and spacing methods.
