dramaspaces6 18/8/05 4:25 PM Page 61Over the last ten years, Sarah FitzGibbon has workedas an actor, actor-teacher, workshop facilitator,education officer and writer in Theatre-in-Education.She has worked in a variety of capacities withTEAM Educational Theatre Company, GraffitiTheatre Company and Replay Theatre Company.Sarah has been largely associated with youth dramain the non-formal sector in Ireland for the last sevenyears; her approach has been one of using educationaldrama techniques when working with young peoplein non-formal contexts.She has conducted dramatraining for the National Youth Arts Programme,New York University, Dublin City Council, DublinInner City School Partnership and a variety of youthservices, youth groups and arts organisations. From1998 to 2001, she was Development Officer withthe National Association for Youth Drama, theumbrella organisation for youth drama in Irelandand is currently Artistic Director of Dublin YouthTheatre.She is also a writer and director of theatrefor young audiences.61
