Colours and materialsOur furniture is available in arange of colours andmany different types of wood finish. This means thatKinnarps furniture will fit into the interior designof your workplace: tables, cabinets, chairs, floorsurfaces, walls and textiles all working together forthe benefit of your company. Simply pull out the flapfor an overview of the colours and materials you canchoose from.Chipboard: Most is produced in Sweden, but some isproduced in other parts of Europe. All of our chipboardmeets E1 standards with regard toformaldehyde content.Lamine TM : Our own super-strong lacquer for coloured orpatterned surfaces, where several layers are added tochipboard orlightweight board. Horizontal surfaces arealso given alayer of extra durable ceramic lacquer. Thismakes Lamine TM eight times more hard-wearing thanlacquered veneer.Surface treatment, wood: Surface treatment is mainlyaccomplished without the use of volatile organic solvents,(VOC), using instead UV-hardening acrylic lacquers andwater-based lacquers. Coloured surfaces are surfacetreated with Lamine TM .Veneers: Veneer is solid wood cut into thin layers. Kinnarps’sveneer is approximately 0.6 mm thick. It is glued onto achipboard oralightweight top and then lacquered with aclear lacquer. Veneer is aliving material giving anatural feel.Laminate: Laminate consists of several layers of paper,impregnated with plastic resin, which is pressed ontochipboard atahigh temperature and under high pressure.The result is ahard-wearing surface.
