A less immediate feature that addsvalue is the honeycomb construction ofrecycled paper in the core of the top and thelack of metal under-frame... making it a verysustainable choice. Färger Colours och and materialsAll our furniture is available in several coloursand many different types of wood. It shouldbe a natural part of the interior design of yourworkplace: desks, cabinets, chairs, floors, walls,fabrics – everything should harmonise to yourcompany’s best advantage. Simply unfold theflap to get a good overview of the wood types,Lamine- and SignaDure ® lacquers to choosefrom for our furniture.FactsOur range contains three types of wood, namely birch,beech and oak. Birch: most of it comes from Finland.Beech veneers come from central Europe and solidbeech from Swedish beech forests. Solid oak and oakveneers come from Sweden and North America. All rawwood materials come from responsibly managed forestsas specified by the requirements and standards of thecountry of origin. FSC or PEFC-certified woods are usedas far as available. We do not use wood from rainforests.Chipboard: Most of it is manufactured in Sweden, butalso in North and Central America. All our chipboardssatisfy the E1 standard as regards their formalin content.Outer wood treatment: External treatment takes placelargely without any volatile organic compounds (VOC),with UV-hardened acrylic lacquers as well as aqueouslacquers. Coloured surfaces are treated externally withSignaDure ® .Veneers: Veneers are solid wood sliced into thinlayers. Kinnarps veneers are 0.6 mm thick. They areglued onto chipboard or lightweight boards and thencovered with clear lacquer. Veneer is a living materialthat evokes a natural feeling.SignaDure ® : Our own super-strong lacquer for colouredsurfaces. Up to eight layers are applied onto chipboard orlightweight board – on horizontal surfaces, one layer alsoconsists of extra hardwearing ceramic lacquer.Lamine TM : Lamine is a painted surface on chipboard thatcreates a wood-like appearance. The surface is treatedwith various lacquers in eleven stages. One of the layerson all horizontal surfaces consists of a ceramic lacquerthat is extremely hardwearing. Lamine TM withstands agingup to 75% better than veneers.
