The aim of the project is to enhance the capacities of local civilsociety organisations active in the Southern Mediterranean region to work on the protection ofmigrants and refugees. The group is composed of 25 civil society representatives from 13 differentcountries (Danemark, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Cyprus, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Libya, Egypt,Lebanon and Syria). It physically meets twice a year, each time in a different country. Each meeting ispreceded by a public <strong>session</strong> aiming at discussing the situation of migrants and refugees in the hostcountry.
