2013 <strong>PACE</strong> Global Annual ForumJuly 22 – July 25, 2013Art Center College of Design, Pasadena, California, USA<strong>CALL</strong> <strong>FOR</strong> <strong>PRESENTATION</strong>/<strong>POSTER</strong> <strong>ABSTRACTS</strong>Abstract Submissions due Monday, March 11, 2013<strong>PACE</strong> invites authors from <strong>PACE</strong> Institutions and <strong>PACE</strong> Companies to submitabstracts pertaining to areas of interest to the <strong>PACE</strong> community for oral presentationsor posters to be presented at the 2013 <strong>PACE</strong> Global Annual Forum at Art Center Collegeof Design in Pasadena, California, USA on July 22 – July 25, 2013.<strong>PACE</strong>-related technical and case study presentations, posters, and papers from academia andindustry are invited. Faculty, administrators, graduate students, undergraduates, and industryrepresentatives are all encouraged to submit. Of particular interest are those presentations,posters, and/or papers related to <strong>PACE</strong> projects, initiatives specific to <strong>PACE</strong> software, ProductLifecycle Management (PLM) activities specific to <strong>PACE</strong>, inter- and intra-university collaborativeactivities, related products or issues in industry, and curriculum development and integration.The submissions accepted for oral presentations will be divided into three or four categories or“tracks” which may include one or more of the following: Curriculum, Engineering,Manufacturing Engineering, Creative/Industrial Design, or Collaboration.All submitted abstracts are peer reviewed, and a limited number will be invited for oralpresentations and/or posters during the <strong>PACE</strong> Annual Forum. Abstracts that are not acceptedfor an oral presentation may be invited to participate in the poster display session. The posterdisplay session is provided for shorter topics or topics that are targeted to a select audience.Authors selected for oral presentation or poster need to confirm by May 10, 2013 that they willattend the conference or risk losing their time slot to another presenter.Please submit your abstract on or before March 11, 2013 via the submission websitehttp://www.openconf.org/<strong>PACE</strong>forum2013. To prepare your abstract, download the abstracttemplate file available on the submission website. All abstracts should be submitted asMSWord DOC or Adobe PDF files. Abstracts should be no more than two pages, and are to besubmitted using the abstract template file. The preferred length of an abstract is 150-350 words.Authors of a limited number of submitted abstracts will be invited to prepare a paper for aspecial issue of the Computer Aided Design and Applications journal. To be considered forjournal invitation, authors must select a submission type that states “Journal Invitation” whensubmitting their abstract. (Note: Authors not wishing to be considered for journal invitation arenot required to prepare an actual paper.) Upon reviewer recommendation, all qualified paperswill be permanently archived in the journal Computer Aided Design and Applications.
