OCM <strong>12</strong> FEBRUARY 20<strong>13</strong>APPENDIX <strong>13</strong>.6.<strong>1A</strong><strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Gosnells</strong>Annual Electors Meeting Minutes 10 December 20<strong>12</strong>Response:The Chief Executive Officer advised that when the planningrequirements are not being complied with, the <strong>City</strong> will takeaction accordingly which may include prosecution.However, the <strong>City</strong> needs to ensure that there is strong evidencebefore the <strong>City</strong> will initiate legal proceedings and that theapplicant has exceeded the requirements <strong>of</strong> their application.However, the <strong>City</strong> will endeavour to continue to collect andanalyse evidence provided by the community and work with theapplicants to ensure they are compliant.Q2The <strong>City</strong> mentioned that Bickley Brook was one <strong>of</strong> its concerns, how can youjustify SRF Recycling being sighted right next door to it?Response: The Chief Executive Officer stated that the main concernregarding Bickley Brook would be that potentially foreign itemscould end up in the Brook.However, it was advised that the initial application form by SRFRecycling stated that the processing would occur indoors andthere would be no impact on the Brook.Mrs Sandra Baraiolo <strong>of</strong> 19 Victoria Road, Kenwick:Mrs Sandra Baraiolo made a statement expressing her sincere thanks to CustomerService Officer, Lyn Dorizzi, mentioning that she does a fantastic job on switchboard.Mrs Baraiolo further expressed her thanks to Cr Terry Brown for his hard work anddedication since he has taken over as the presiding member for the <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Gosnells</strong>RoadWise Advisory Group.Mr Leon Walker <strong>of</strong> 27/99 Stafford Road, Kenwick:Q1Is tradelink moving from its premises in Austin Avenue, Kenwick because <strong>of</strong>problems with dust from SRF Recycling?Response:The Mayor advised that he was unaware <strong>of</strong> this information, andwould prepare a response in writing.Q2If there was an independent forensic examination, the process which lead toRidan Pty Ltd being granted planning approval for the premises occupied bySRF Recycling, is the <strong>City</strong> confident that no malfeasance would be uncovered?Response:The Chief Executive Officer advised that he had no reason tobelieve there was anything but proper process shown.Q3Has there been any communication between the <strong>City</strong> and the appealsconvenor?Response:The Chief Executive Officer advised that the question would betaken on notice and a response would be prepared in writing.11
