We recommend using the electronic version as it willprovide users a complete, up to date PRR.The bookmarks available in the electronic version can now be expanded anadditional level, to aid in quickly locating rules.References to other PRR Articles are highlighted in green, and can be clicked tojump directly to the referenced Article.The on-line version of the PRR highlights all of the changes in red.Rule ChangesBelow is a summary of major changes to rules as they pertain to the <strong>Trans</strong>-<strong>Am</strong> Series.All <strong>Trans</strong>-<strong>Am</strong> classes (TA, TA2, TA3) must comply with the following areas of the <strong>2011</strong> PRR.• Article 1: Covers general rules that apply to all of the series and classes in <strong>SCCA</strong> <strong>Pro</strong> <strong>Racing</strong>.• Article 4: The parts that apply to all <strong>Trans</strong>-<strong>Am</strong> classes include 4.1,4.2, 4.3, 4.4, 4.5, 4.6, 4.11• Article 4: These parts apply only to the specific <strong>Trans</strong>-<strong>Am</strong> classes♦ 4.7 Applies to the <strong>Trans</strong>-<strong>Am</strong>♦ 4.8 Applies to the TA2(GT2 based)♦ 4.9 Applies to the TA2 (GTA based)♦ 4.10 Applies to the TA3• Appendices A-Q: This area applies to all <strong>Pro</strong>-<strong>Racing</strong> Series.The Latest Version of the <strong>2011</strong> <strong>Pro</strong> <strong>Racing</strong> Regulations are always available online at:http://www.scca.com/contentpage.aspx?content=69Page 1 of 3


<strong>2011</strong> <strong>Trans</strong>-<strong>Am</strong> <strong>Technical</strong> <strong>Bulletin</strong> 24.6.3.4 An FIA approved dry-break coupler must be installed. (See Appendix M), Contact the <strong>Technical</strong> Managerfor supply source.4.6.3.5. Unleaded fuel will be required for the 2013 season, and as early as 2012.4.6.5.1. Traction control is not allowed. (This became a rule part way through the 2010 season)4.6.6 <strong>SCCA</strong> <strong>Pro</strong> <strong>Racing</strong> will be using on-board GPS Based Data Monitoring. Selected teams must install thesystem. (This became a rule part way through the 2010 season, but was not used)4.7.5.15.1. A maximum compression ratio of 12:1 and maximum 8200 RPM limit will be required for 2013, and asearly as 2012.4.8: TRANS-AM 2 CLASS (GT-2 BASED)This is a very short article that basically refers the competitor to the <strong>2011</strong> GCR for the GT2 rules.4.9: TRANS-AM 2 CLASS (GTA BASED)This section contains all the specific rules for these cars.4.10: TRANS-AM 3 CLASSThis is a very short article that basically refers the competitor to the <strong>2011</strong> GCR for the GT3 rules.4.11: TEST PROCEDURESThe fuel and sound testing procedures are covered.
