Goin’ To The Chapel........
This past October, our Forest Volunteer, Laura Collins
got married to her sweetheart, William Veers. In true
“Super Rebound Volunteer” form, Laura got married
and had a honeymoon and only missed one night of
program!!! You are amazing! Congratulations to you
both and we wish you many happy years together!
Welcome Andraya
Rebound would like to welcome our newest staff member
Andraya. She will be working at St. Christopher’s High School
in the in-school detention program 3 days a week, and she
will be working with the Life Choices evening programs as
well.
My husband Kevin, and I have been married for 2 1/2 years
and have 3 beautiful daughters (Hannah 7, Evangeline 3,
Chelsia 2).
I graduated the SSW program at Lambton College in 2001
and began my career in Residential. I firmly believe that
working residential isn’t a job, it’s a lifestyle and during my time there I felt so honoured being such
a consistent part of those youths lives. After being at S.T.A.R.T. for the majority of 8 years I excitedly
accepted a new job opportunity with Rebound.
I look forward to continuing my career (and growing professionally), with such a respected organization
- working with the youth of our community.
CHARITY INTELLIGENCE CANADA SELECTS REBOUND AGAIN FOR
ONE OF TOP CHARITIES IN CANADA.
A letter recently received from Charity Intelligence Canada to Sarnia Lambton Rebound contains
this message:
“After rigorous and independent analysis including due diligence, assessment of transparency and
accountability, cost efficiency, and charity results, and undergoing a Recommendation Committee
review, Charity Intelligence Canada (CI) has concluded its analysis of Canadian charities for
2010.
We would like to thank your organization for participating in this analysis. CI has made the final
selection of recommended Canadian charities delivering top results for Canadians in need. The
top picks were selected from an initial pool of over 200 charity contacts. CI is most pleased to announce
the recommendation of Sarnia-Lambton Rebound as a CI Recommended Charity 2010.
Sarnia-Lambton Rebound excels in addressing a social issue, is cost efficient, and most importantly,
has a track record of producing outstanding results for youth in need.”
We couldn’t do it without YOU. Thank you for standing for our youth!
