The guidebook provides two suggestedscripts/stories <strong>for</strong> each concept. These scriptscan be read aloud to <strong>the</strong> child as <strong>the</strong> tactile pagesare presented.<strong>Tactile</strong> <strong>Treasures</strong> was originally published by <strong>the</strong><strong>American</strong> <strong>Print</strong>ing <strong>House</strong> <strong>for</strong> <strong>the</strong> Blind in 1997. Thisnewest edition incorporates notable updates including<strong>the</strong> addition of color, more durable tactile sheets, and a“Checklist of Concepts” <strong>for</strong> monitoring <strong>the</strong> progressof an individual child.Instructions <strong>for</strong> Use• Determine <strong>the</strong> presentation order of <strong>the</strong> tactilepages based upon <strong>the</strong> child’s readiness <strong>for</strong> a givenconcept.
