Cans Challenge for Elan/Impression Owners<br />
The Cans Challenge was originally created for team building events and selecting management for<br />
numerous well know large companies including RBS and TRMG.<br />
The objective is simple; to sail a course within a 2 ½ hour time limit and collect the buoys from and to a<br />
start/finish line located in the Solent. Each buoy has a score, close by ones relative to the start are low and<br />
the further away ones higher points. Each buoy is collected by taking a picture of the buoy from within one<br />
boat length and a score card filled in.<br />
10.00am assembly at Hamble Point Marina-Cougar Quay.<br />
The strategy is based on weather, tide, sailing skills, navigation and good team work.<br />
The start and finish line is managed with a rib and judicator, they also will be zooming about the Solent<br />
snapping team action shots and providing safety support.<br />
The prize will go to the yacht that has the most points scored, penalties given for late finishers.<br />
All day event<br />
A Cans Challenge cup is awarded to the winning yacht with running up prizes, berthing organised and prize<br />
giving buffet in the Hamble.<br />
DOCKSIDE MEETING @ BUCKLERS HARD<br />
Join us on the 5th September for a meeting on the banks of the lovely River<br />
Beaulieu. Come for a summer picnic (American supper—bring 2 dishes each boat)<br />
and we can update you on the developments within Elan/Impression, and our<br />
company.<br />
We have reserved 5 berths—first come, first serve basis, and we’ll pay for your<br />
berth for 1 night.
