Water-Ingress-Detection-SystemWIDSWeser Flow Control Sensor WFC-WIDS 1This water ingress sensor is the recommended type and especially designed to detect liquids. Itstechnology is based on capacitive inverse shift sensing technologies. The sensor forms the one, and vesselthe other electrode of a capacitor. A capacitance change, caused by a liquid level change, is processedby the integrated electronics and converted into an electronic signal. This signal is transferred forevaluation to the control panel. Because the capacitive measuring principle requires no special installationand mounting this method is very reliable and manifold proved. The sensor probe is available in twodifferent materials. The design is pending on the environmental surrounding and purpose. The probemade of PVDF provides a wide temperature operating range from –40 up to +100°C and enables leveldetections of seawater, water, corrosive liquids or adhesive products without problems. The instrument isfully insulated and additional equipped with a “Sensguard” protection tube which protects the probe. Thesecond type is made of stainless steel, and is recommended in extreme rough environments. The biggestbenefit of the sensors are that they operate with only one probe this means that almost no particle cankey or cant, which can interact the correct detecting. The mounting of the sensors is easy and the ruggedconstruction is the basis for an interference and maintenance free operation.Sensor features:• Pressure: 10 Bar ,• Temperature: –40 ..+ 100°C• Materials Type 1: Probe : PVDF (Polyvinylidenfluorid), Body: Polyester• Materials Type 2: Probe : 316L Stainless steel, Body : 316L Stainless steel.• Materials Type 2: Probe : 316L Stainless steel, Body : Aluminum epoxy coated.• Protection: IP 68, Ex-proofed ATEX II 1G EEx ia IIC T6• Power supply: DC 30V via zener barrier• Connection: G1” with flange DN50/PN16• Electric connection: via PG 13,5 cable gland.Applications: Cargo holds, Bosun Store, Lower Bosun space, collision bulkheadWeser Flow Control GmbH - Konsul-Smidt-Str. 8U, 28217 Bremen - Amtsgericht Bremen HRB 27110 HB ⋅ Geschäftsführer: Michael Borchers+49 (0) 421 877 54 40 +49 (0) 421 877 53 95 homepage: http://www.weser-flow-control.com e-mail: info@weser-flow-control.comBremer Landesbank (BLZ 290 500 00) 10 52 37 50 02 S.W.I.F.T.-Code BRLADE22 IBAN-Nr. Water-Ingress-Detection-SystemWIDSWeser Flow Control Sensor WFC-WIDS 2This water ingress sensor is the recommended type and especially designed to detect water in cargoholds. Its technology is based on capacitive active shield sensing were sensor probe and vessel form thetwo electrodes of a capacitor. A capacitance change, effected by liquids wetting the probe, changes thecapacitive level which is processed by the integrated electronics and converted into a electronic signal.Because the capacitive measuring principle requires no special installation and mounting this method isvery reliable and manifold proved. The probe is installed in a protection pipe DN65 which is welded ormounted onto the inner cargo holding wall. The probe consists of two parts, the basic probe and the cord(length max. 20m) which connects the probe body with the gauge head. The basic probe is 2200mm longand due this both required levels, 0,5m and 2m are detected with only one sensor. The gauge head of thesensor is designed with a connection flange, for mounting the sensor direct onto the protection pipe. Duethat the probe is made of stainless steel and protected by the protection pipe extreme roughenvironments and temperatures from –40 up to +200°C are no problem. This design enables leveldetections of seawater, water, corrosive liquids or adhesive products without problems . The electronicpart is fully insulated. The biggest benefit is that is that this sensor is operating with only one probe, thismeans only one sensor is needed to detect two different levels and almost no particle can key or cant, which can interact the correct detecting. The mounting of the sensors is easy and the rugged constructionis the basis for an interference and maintenance free operation.Sensor features:• Pressure: 10 Bar ,• Temperature: - 40 ..+ 200°C• Material Type 1: Probe : 316L Stainless steel, Body : Aluminum epoxy coated.• Protection: on Deck IP 68, in Deck IP65, Ex-proofed ATEX II 1G EEx ia IIC T6• Power supply: DC 30V via zener barrier or transducer• Connection: G1” with Flange DN65• Electric connection: via PG 13,5 cable gland.Applications: Cargo holds, collision bulkheadWeser Flow Control GmbH - Konsul-Smidt-Str. 8U, 28217 Bremen - Amtsgericht Bremen HRB 27110 HB ⋅ Geschäftsführer: Michael Borchers+49 (0) 421 877 54 40 +49 (0) 421 877 53 95 homepage: http://www.weser-flow-control.com e-mail: info@weser-flow-control.comBremer Landesbank (BLZ 290 500 00) 10 52 37 50 02 S.W.I.F.T.-Code BRLADE22 IBAN-Nr. Water-Ingress-Detection-SystemWIDSWeser Flow Control Sensor WFC-WIDS 3This water ingress sensor is especially designed to detect water, non electrical conductivity liquids andsuspended solids in cargo holds and other store. The piezo drive is the heart of the sensor, activating thetuning fork to vibrate on its resonance frequency. The frequency of the fork reduces with the immersion. The frequency change is evaluated by the integrated electronics and converted into a switching signal. Anoptimized screwed connection is used to ensure reliability and ruggedness of the piezo drive. With thetuning fork of only 40 mm length, the sensor work reliably in all liquids independent of the installationposition. Pressure, temperature, foam, viscosity and bubbles do not influence the switching accuracy. Thissensor provides a wide temperature operating range from –40 up to +100°C. Due that the sensor isinstalled in a protection tube the probes are protected against accidentally touching , this ensures a saveoperation and is the basis for an interference and maintenance free operation.Sensor features:• Pressure: 10 Bar ,• Temperature: –40 ..+ 100°C• Materials Probe : Stainless Steel 316L, body: Polyester, optional 316L• Protection WIS-13: IP 67, Ex-proofed ATEX II 1G EEx ia IIC T6• Power supply: DC 30V via zener barrier• Connection: G3/4”• Electric connection: via PG 13,5 cable glandsApplications:• Cargo holds, Bosun Store, Lower Bosun space, collision bulkheadWeser Flow Control GmbH - Konsul-Smidt-Str. 8U, 28217 Bremen - Amtsgericht Bremen HRB 27110 HB ⋅ Geschäftsführer: Michael Borchers+49 (0) 421 877 54 40 +49 (0) 421 877 53 95 homepage: http://www.weser-flow-control.com e-mail: info@weser-flow-control.comBremer Landesbank (BLZ 290 500 00) 10 52 37 50 02 S.W.I.F.T.-Code BRLADE22 IBAN-Nr.
