Supporting the Heart of Sigma Kappa
Leadership.
There are at least 20 different leadership philosophies.The list of world problems is far
longer. Leadership takes many forms and requires extraordinary skill, tireless effort,
and loyalty to the cause. Sigma Kappa provides the opportunity for each member to
explore the dynamics of a team and to lead. Each of Sigma Kappa’s 8,845 collegiate
members deserves the training to develop at least one leadership style as her own.
Sigma Kappa Foundation helps make this possible by funding leadership training
because instilling Sigma Kappa’s values provides the baseline for each member to
develop integrity, problem solving and critical thinking skills. After all, she needs
to understand the qualities of a good leader if she is to be one.
Education.
Education is more than teaching and learning – it is imparting knowledge. Knowledge,
understanding and education are critical to the success of all leaders, especially in
a diverse and highly connected world.The “information age” is only meaningful to
those who can process information, analyze it, and transform it into knowledge that
can be utilized effectively.To everyone else, the information age is simply overload.
Providing education and access to it is vital to the next generation of leaders and
Sigma Kappa Foundation works to ensure these financial resources are available to
Sigma Kappa members. Education is truly empowerment.
Inspiration.
Empowering Sigma Kappa members of all ages with education and training to be future
leaders is the greatest gift anyone can give another – it is the gift that can never be taken
away, the investment that yields endless returns. Support from Sigma Kappa Foundation
is the inspiration that Sigma Kappa leaders need because a leader’s work is never done.
An education is never finished.
