ON CAMPUS Foley’s First Ever Putt-A-Thon This year, Bishop Foley Catholic did away with their annual Walk-A-Thon and instead came up with the idea to host a Putt-A-Thon. The BFC Field House and turf track were turned into the green and fairway, Ventures Continue to Be the Difference Every April, the Bishop Foley Catholic community comes together to make a difference in the world around them. This April was no different as our BFC students, teachers, staff, and parents participated in the sixth annual Be the Difference Day. Our BFC students learned that they must be the change they wish to see in the world as they completed over 4000 combined hours of service on April 24, 2015. Thank you to all the businesses that allowed us to help make a difference! complete with different miniature golf holes and obstacles. Instead of receiving donations to walk, students received donations to putt! Although all the students had fun, the meaning of the day was much more important. All the money raised through donations went towards the Bishop Foley Catholic Scholarship Fund. Without this fund, several of our students would not receive the chance to go to BFC. We want to thank all those who donated. We hope that this event continues on for many years to come, with even more success! ON CAMPUS A Night in Paris at the BFC Auction This winter, Bishop Foley Catholic welcomed guests to the streets of Paris for their Annual Auction and Gala. The evening was truly one to remember as the gym was transformed into a romantic Paris setting, complete with the Eiffel Tower. It was a record setting night as over 300 guests came through the door to bid on exciting items in the silent and live auction, participate in raffle drawings, and enjoy delicious food and drinks, provided by Club Venetian. We can’t say thank you enough to all those who donated items to our Auction, but also to all the families and friends of Foley that came out to the event. The proceeds from this event will help Bishop Foley Catholic continue to provide a high quality education to all of our Ventures. Thank you to all who made our Annual Auction and Gala a success! Give Back to Bishop Foley Catholic to Celebrate 50 Years The 2015-2016 school year is a big one for Bishop Foley Catholic High School, as it marks the 50 th Year Anniversary of our school. Nearly 50 years ago, we opened our doors with the intent to teach students in a Catholic faith based environment that would allow them to become leaders of the future. Although many things have changed throughout the last 50 years, one thing that has remained constant is the support of our benefactors – parents, staff, faculty, friends, and alumni – who always want to make BFC a better place. Without every single one of you, BFC would not be the school it is today and we certainly would not have been around for 50 years, providing a quality Christ-centered education to every student who walks through our doors. BFC is blessed with dedicated faculty and staff, engaged parents, and energetic students. BFC continues to thrive based on generous donations that come from faculty, staff, parents, grandparents, and our alumni. Gerry LeBoeuf, is pleased to announce our new Athletic Director and Admissions Director for the 2015- 2016 Academic Year. The Administration and Staff welcome Mr. Brian Hassler in his new role as Athletic Director and Ms. Katie Crombe ‘07 in her new role as Admissions Director. Both of these new hires are no strangers to BFC. Mr. Hassler has been a faithful member of our staff for the past 18 years acting in the role of Athletic Trainer. 7 His institutional knowledge will serve us well as he continues to strengthen our athletic program built on a solid foundation. We also welcome Ms. Katie Crombe ‘07 as our new Admissions Director. As a graduate of BFC, Ms. Crombe is well versed with our school and has already put her passion forward in carrying out her new role. Her energy and love for BFC will certainly shine through as she carries out her duties of promoting BFC. Welcome to your new roles, Brian and Katie!
