The campaign is focused on both athletics and recreation, andit is estimated that at least 80 percent of the student body uses these facilities on a regularbasis. The upgrades to the Selby field and track, especially the artificial turf installation, willextend the use of this facility seasonally, and it will allow teams to share the fields evenduring the individual team seasons. Incoming student-athletes have reported theirexcitement over the propect of playing in renovated and new facilities. For example, our verystrong softball program will soon benefit from its own new field, now being constructed southof the baseball diamond. Student-athlete recruiting has benefitted not only from the obvious ongoingimprovement, but also from the planned upgrades and new facilities that will come on line as we continue toreceive contributions to the Remembering Mr. Rickey campaign.2006-07 Ohio Wesleyan Golf11
