Appendix G: Report on Commonwealth Disability Strategy
In accordance with the Commonwealth Government guidelines outlined in the (Commonwealth) Disability
Discrimination Act (1992), the NTC developed a Disability Action Plan during the 2010–11 financial year.
Under the Disability Action Plan the following actions were taken:
• accessibility of regulatory impact statements was enhanced. These are now made available as .txt files on the OBPR website
• venues used for meetings have full disabled access and facilities.
Further work on increasing staff awareness and provision of workplace adjustments will continue
in the 2011/12 financial year. The NTC’s Disability Action Plan will be reviewed annually.
The NTC will begin implementing the Commonwealth Disability Strategy in the terms set out in the
Guide to the Performance Reporting Framework in the 2011–12 financial year.
