<strong>ELECTRICAL</strong> <strong>NETWORKS</strong> <strong>MODELLING</strong> <strong>SOFTWARE</strong>_06is part of the team suitemodel builder developed byfor the modelingof electrical systems.Simulation diagrams fullyreplicate the plant electricaldiagrams. Modeling engineersare able to createsimulation diagrams by selectingthe icons and dragging,dropping and connectingthem to the electricaltopology, finally enteringtheir design data. The resultis an electrical drawing similarto the plant diagram andan auto-generated simulationmodel.APPLICATIONSallows for the real-time high fidelitysimulation of electrical systems for any plant (power generation,process industry, switching stations,..) or other complex facilities.resolves single-phase electrical networkmodels taking into account Kirchoff laws and Northonequivalent circuits. The following electrical parameters are calculated,using a fully stable numerical method: Voltage, Frequency,Phase, Current (total, real and imaginary) and Power(active and reactive). Different voltage levels, the simulation ofmultiple electrical sources and loads and different combinationsand coupling between busses are considered.ENVIRONMENTgenerates simulation models fromactual plant electrical diagrams in a manner automated andtransparent to the user. The software modules generated areautomatically integrated with the <strong>Tecnatom</strong> simulation environmentAIDES. However, the tool may also be reusable in anyother simulation environment.BASE PACKAGEis made up of different libraries withmultiple icons representing standard electrical components:busses, transformers, breakers, loads, generators, etc..., locatedin the power plant electrical infrastructure.


DEVELOPMENT AND TESTINGis an open automated code generatorfeaturing two modes of operation: Edit Mode and Test Mode.The Edit mode allows the user to create new icons and patternsof repetitive diagrams.The Test mode allows for the monitoring and debugging of theelectrical models in a stand-alone manner with defined boundaryconditions. The user may interactively modify the statusand dynamic attributes of any icon, observing the electricalvariables in real time.
