John started working forMcDonnell-Douglas in Long Beach andthen moved to Carlsbad, CA in 1992 tobegin working for an engineering firm specializingin aerospace composites. He waslater employed with Cubic Defense Systemsand TRW in San Diego as a manufacturingplanner. John is presently workingfor Northrop Grumman on the GlobalHawk surveillance aircraft for the USAF asan engineering/manufacturing masterscheduler. He is married to his wonderfulwife, Mary, and has a seven-year-old sonnamed David. David enjoys playing softballand is active in a local club scout pack,so weekends are really busy with gamesand cub scout activities.Joseph Atencio ’77 received his undergraduatedegree from Georgetown Universityand his MBA from Harvard Business<strong>School</strong>. Joe spent 15 years as an investmentbanker with Donaldson Lufkin &Jenrette. He left Wall Street in 2000 andcurrently is the CEO of a consumer productmanufacturing company in New Jersey. Joehas been married to Kathleen for 21 yearsand has a daughter, Audrey, who is a sophomoreat Georgetown and a son, Augie,who is a sophomore at an all-boys Benedictine<strong>High</strong> <strong>School</strong> in NJ. Joe’s contactinformation is jatencio@chemaidlabs.comClaudio Furgiuele ’78 lives in Suwanee,GA with Cyndy, his bride of 25 years, andtheir two daughters Serafina, (21), andGabriella, (17). Cyndy is responsible forliturgy at St. Monica Catholic Church, theirhome parish. Serafina is in her final year atGeorgia State University working to earnher degree in Vocal Performance. She hasperformed in many operas, traveling toChina last year to work with Remnin University.Gabriella is an accomplished horseman,having placed in the top three at theshows she has entered. Claudio owns a deliin downtown Atlanta, and guest lectures atGSU. He has had the pleasure of cookingfor President Reagan and Queen Elizabeth,and drinking scotch with Ian McKellen andPatrick Stewart.Ron Oard ’79 retired after 26 years withthe U.S. Navy and is now an associate professorof strategy for the distance educationprogram at the U.S. Naval War College inNewport, RI. He and his wife Kelly arecelebrating their 25th wedding anniversarythis year, and have two children, Samantha,(20), and Alex, (16). He is involved in thelocal community as the Commodore ofCoasters Harbor Navy Yacht Club and asthe referee coordinator for the town’s youthsoccer club.John Costanzo ’80 is currently living inThousand Oaks with Tracy, his wife of 26years, and their two kids--Samantha, (18),and Ryan, (16). While at <strong>Crespi</strong>, he was astarting wide receiver and had a record-settingsenior year as a sprinter, earning him aUCLA track scholarship. Since UCLA,John has worked as project manager anddeveloper of large-scale, solar thermalpower plants. These plants represent thelargest solar power facilities in the world,having generated more than 15 billion kilowatthours of electricity to date. (That’sequivalent to the annual needs of more thantwo million homes and replaces the needfor the purchase of more than 25 millionbarrels of foreign oil). In his spare time,John enjoys hanging out with the family,attending his son’s volleyball matches, andhanging out with friends, including his fellowCelts---despite the danger.Tim Huckaby ’80 is focused on the NaturalUser Interface (NUI)- Touch, Gesture,and Neural in Rich Client Technologieslike HTML5, Silverlight, WPF, & IOS on abroad spectrum of devices that includecomputers, tablets, the Surface, the Kinect,and mobile devices.Tim has been called a “Pioneer of theSmart Client Revolution” by the press andhas been awarded many times for the highestrated technical presentations andkeynotes for Microsoftand many other technologyconferences.Tim has been on stagewith, and done numerouskeynote demos formany Microsoft executives,including BillGates and SteveBallmer.Tim Huckaby ’80 picturedwith Bill GatesTim founded InterKnowlogy, experts in.NET and Microsoft Platforms in 1999 andActus Interactive Software in 2011. He hasover 30 years of experience including servingon a Microsoft product team as a developmentlead on an architecture team ona Server Product.
