<strong>Magic</strong> <strong>Knight</strong> <strong>African</strong> <strong>Violet</strong> <strong>Society</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>San</strong> <strong>An<strong>to</strong>nio</strong> <strong>is</strong> <strong>pleased</strong> <strong>to</strong> <strong>host</strong> the 2009 LSAVCconvention and show, “VIOLETS TRAVEL THE TEXAS HIGHWAYS”. The Inn <strong>of</strong> the HillsResort and Conference Center in Kerrville will be the site <strong>of</strong> th<strong>is</strong> year’s convention which will beheld on Thursday, November 5; Friday, November 6; and Saturday November 7, 2009. As many<strong>of</strong> you know, the hotel <strong>of</strong>fers us a spacious showroom and we hope you will all bring lots <strong>of</strong>plants <strong>to</strong> enter as well as designs. We will also have lots <strong>of</strong> space in the Commercial Sales Roomso be preparing your l<strong>is</strong>t <strong>of</strong> must haves.Adm<strong>is</strong>sion <strong>to</strong> the public <strong>is</strong> free, and they have entry <strong>to</strong> the Showrooms Friday November 6, from2 - 5pm, and Saturday November 8:30am - 4:30pm. The Salesroom <strong>is</strong> open Thursday 12pm-5pm, Friday 9am-5pm, and Saturday from 10:00am - 4:30pm. (See Agenda for detailed info).Meredith Hall will be teaching a Judges’ School th<strong>is</strong> year. We know you will want <strong>to</strong> take th<strong>is</strong>opportunity <strong>to</strong> become a judge, renew your certificate or just brush up on your judging skills.We will again honor Mary Walbrick with an award for best educational d<strong>is</strong>play. Don’tforget <strong>to</strong> enter your plants in the Pittman Collection class. Our Saturday morning programs will be given by Janet Castiglione and Danny Tidwell. Dannywill tell us all h<strong>is</strong> secret growing techniques for h<strong>is</strong> award winning violets and Janet will show usher techniques on making a Plant Arrangement Large or Small.Don’t forget <strong>to</strong> make your banquet reservations. Th<strong>is</strong> year there will be a choice <strong>of</strong> eitherchicken or beef for the entrée.
