<strong>Job</strong> Description<strong>Job</strong> Title:Responsible to:Accountable to:Location:Hours & Salary:Sessional TherapistLine ManagerComplementary Therapy Co-ordinatorBased at the Neil Cliffe Centre but working incentral and north ManchesterUp to 12 hours per week but depends on referral(£ 14 per hour + travel)<strong>Job</strong> Purpose/SummaryTo provide Complementary Therapies to patients and/or carersKey Duties and Responsibilities<strong>Job</strong> RoleWorks within the policy framework of the Hospice Unit in the provisionof specialist palliative care by supporting the Service Manager inensuring that the aims and objectives of the service are carried out.Therapist will practice therapy and education duties in accordance withHospice policy, procedure and standards, specifically:• To carry out an initial assessment (therapy consultation) of thepatient/carer to determine suitability for chosen therapy• To maintain cleanliness and tidiness in all therapy areas• To maintain appropriate records• To liaising with members of the multi-professional team regarding patientissues• To participate in any evaluation of the service• To keep up to date with current practice and professional conduct• To fulfil any other duties reasonably assigned by the therapist’s manager.Registered Charity No: 258085
