Merino woolis very fine and frizzy, properties that make an excellent filling material for a duvet. The finer the hair and thetighter the curliness of the fibre, the greater its ability to take up moisture thereby increasing the insulation valueof the duvet. The result is a duvet that can optimally balance moisture and temperature.The outer cover is made from finest organic cotton satin which gives it a soft and velvety, light and pleasantfeel on the skin. The special quilting pattern of this duvet allows it to perfectly mould around your body. We onlyuse pure lambs wool, in other words, the valuable wool from the first shearing as this is especially soft and fine.The SANSIBAR duvet is made from pure plant fibres - kapok and cotton. This is why it is ideally suited for peoplesuffering from allergies. The outer cover is made from organic cotton satin. Kapok is a hollow fibre consistingof 80% air.It is therefore one of the lightest plant fibres available. It is also water repellent. Exterior moistureis expelled through the cavities. A high amount of air is trapped in these cavities which gives kapok excellentinsulating capabilities. Kapok therefore cools in the summer, and stores body heat in the winter.Kapok is derived from the seedpod of the kapok tree. The kapok tree is not cultivated on plantations, but onlygrows in tropical mixed forests - where no pesticides or insecticides are used or needed.The finest camel hair is a really special and valuable material. A maximum of 5,000 grams can be collected fromone camel in a year.
