Bernard Grenway, ’95,to launch NationalRadio Show from UMPIRandom Musings: Reflections of a Black Intellectual, byDr. Bernard Grenway, UMPI Class of 1995, is the basisof a new radio show. Like the book, the show focuses on thevarious racial and cultural challenges facing Americans in thecontext of present day educational, political, and historical realities.The text touches on a wide array of issues, includingthe psychology of race and power, the plight of themodern black intellectual, and the need to enhancethe educational standing of all American citizens. Dr.Grenway uses the events of his life, in the form ofRandom Musings, to examine the ‘black perspective'on American life.The show will venture out and make stops at various colleges and organizationsacross the country starting at the University of Maine at PresqueIsle campus and ending in China. Panel members and guests will include,but are not limited to, Dr. Meta Townsend, Dr. Raymond Johnson, Dr.S.T. Crocket, Michael Stoney, Chris Miller, Professor Chip Snyder, DavidKing, and Kim Kaddatz. The show streams live on the internet[http://wolbbaltimore.com/] and will air live during Homecoming,September 22-25.Dr. Grenway is Professor of Management at the University ofMaryland's (UC) School of Undergraduate Studies and Professor ofBusiness at Kaplan University in Hagerstown, Maryland. He is the CEOof the Grenway Consulting Group and CEO of Evergreens Adult MedicalCenter in Elkridge, Maryland. He holds a Bachelor of Liberal Studiesfrom UMPI, a Graduate Certificate of Executive Leadership from CornellUniversity's Johnson Graduate School of Management, a Masters ofScience in Human Relations & Business from Amberton University, anMBA in Global Management and a Ph.D. in Applied Management fromWalden University. He is pursuing a second Doctoral degree in BusinessPsychology and will graduate with a third masters in Legal Studies thiswinter. His writings include Random Musings (Rowman & Littlefield)and Square: The Death and Life of CJ Blair (Blairway).
