The Twin-ExIIcan be adjusted on to the followingoperating modes with a dip switch:Secondary telephone call indicatorIn this mode the device is used fordistinct signalling of incoming telephonecalls in noisy environments. The signalis emitted loudly by the bell and additionedby the built-in strobe light. Forthis the strobe light is operated with callbreak bridging. The power supply forthe optical and acoustic signals is fedfrom the 230 V mains. The signals arecontrolled by the AC-call voltage.No signals are emitted in the eventof a power failure.Signalling deviceIn this mode the device generatesthe acoustic and optical signals whenthe 230 V power supply is applied.DesignThe device is a very compact unitcomprising power supply, telephoneconnection, strobe light, amplifier andloudspeaker. The base is made of seawater-proofcast aluminium and coatedin plastic. The loudspeaker is made ofimpact and cold-resistant plastic andis mounted firmly on the housing. Thecap of the strobe light forms the housingcover and is made of polycarbonate.Secondarytelephone callindicator in acoating plantThe power supplyfor optical and acousticsignals comesfrom 230 V mains.
