Thanks to itscompliance with the explosion protectionclass II 2 G Ex de IIC T5/T6, this signallingdevice can be used without restrictionin all areas with explosive atmospheresin zones 1 and 2. The signalling hooterproduces a sound volume of approx.105dB(A) at 1 meter distance.The characteristic hooting sound canbe clearly heard above any other higherfrequencysounds in the area.The dRGH21 comprises a telephonecalling relay and reproduces the signals inthe pulse rate of the overriding telephonecall.DesignThe explosion protection is giventhrough the flameproof chamber andthe chamber “increased safety”. Theflameproof chamber contains theelectromagnetic drive system and, forthe dRGH21, an additional telephonecalling relay. The signal membrane ismounted outside of the flameproofroom beneath a closing cap with theappropriate sound control. The housingis made of GRP thus guaranteeingprotection against corrosion.Furthermore the construction is lowweightand highly robust. All DC versionsare equipped with an electronic contactbreaker which considerably increasesservice life compared with othercommercially available devices.EmergencySignal in achemical plantThe Ex-Signallinghooter dGH21wasdeveloped for warningin areas with explosiveatmospheres.
