WHAT’S HAPPENING AT SFNL HQ?DAVID CANNIZZO, SFNL CEO@SFNLCEOSFNL NETBALL FINALS HAVE ARRIVED…The 2015 Netball Finals are here and this year we have 24teams representing their clubs over six divisions.Well done to all teams that have made the 2015 SFNL NetballFinals, which include 12 different clubs of the 24 availablepositions, with:• Bentleigh • Black Rock• Carrum Patterson Lakes • Caulfield• Dandenong • Dingley• Heatherton • Highett• Keysborough • Mordialloc• Mount Waverley • St Kilda CityEach Division will play a Page-McIntyre Final 4 meaningpositions 1 and 2 (Second Semi Final) will play for anautomatic position in the Grand Final, in two weeks time. Theloser of that match will play the winner of positions 3 and 4(First Semi Final) the following week in a Preliminary Final. In Division 1, it is refreshing to see a new challenger inKeysborough eyeing off its first piece of silverware. Theyhave done well to earn the double chance again Dingley, witha narrowly better percentage than Bentleigh who will playHeatherton. In Division 2, Heatherton have been the team to beat all yearbut they are beatable. St Kilda City hope they will be able todo exactly that as they have finished second. Dingley havebeen the next best and will host Mordialloc in what should bea great match. In Division 3, in a match not to be missed, the equal top of thetable teams (by points) Dingley and Carrum Patterson Lakeswill be keen to advance direct to the Grand Final. The otherSemi between Black Rock and Caulfield will be just as goodand Caulfield will be pleased to be playing finals. In Division 4, you will be excused for predicting the obviouspremiership favourite in St Kilda City. Going through theseason undefeated is an enormous effort and we knowKeysborough will look to be the first team to beat them. Inanother Heatherton v Dingley final, there is a lot of pride onthe line and this match result will be up in the air to the finalsiren. In Division 5, Highett have been a standout but will have itswork cut out against the experienced Dingley. While in theother Semi there is nothing separating Mordialloc and BlackRock, other than about 3%.In Division 6, Mount Waverley and Dandenong will be acracker of a match, as will St Kilda City and Highett. Thisdivision has probably been the closest of them all. From the SFNL’s perspective, it has been a wonderfulHome and Away Netball season with clubs, netballers (andfootballers) sharing the great success of being diversesporting clubs. The social and financial benefits for clubs that have netballteams has been enormous and if your club is interested inputting together a netball team(s) for 2016, please contactthe SFNL for further information or support.Good luck to all netballers playing in Semi Finals thisweekend!Official Publication of the Southern Football Netball League – ABN 81 295 351 4392nd Floor, Junior Development Building,Moorabbin Reserve, Linton StreetPO Box 1018, Moorabbin VIC 3189P: 9553 5644 | F: 9553 5655Tribunal Venue: SFNL Headquarters, LintonStreet, Moorabbin, (Melways Ref 77 F6)Chief Executive Officer: David CannizzoGM-Operations: Adam Sparrow - 0429 120 203Media Officer: Will Hunter - media@sfl.com.auvisit www.sfnl.com.auOFFICIAL PUBLISHER OF THE SOUTHERN FOOTBALL NETBALL LEAGUE RECORDCOVER PHOTO L-R: DHANUSHKE FERNANDO (CAULFIELD FC), TRAVIS WALKER (HALLAM FC) AND KHALED KANDAKJI (OAKLEIGH DISTRICT FC)WWW.SFNL.COM.AU | 1
