Seventeen candidates wrote the Exam.This year the AFOA Education Committee approved new eligibility requirementsfor Exam writers developed to promote success by CAFM candidates.9THE CAFM EXAM PREPARATION SESSIONAFOA has developed a three day Exam Preparation Session to help candidateschallenge the CAFM Examination successfully.This year CGA Canadaworked with AFOA to enhance that portion of the Exam PreparationSession focusing on the seven CGA courses in the AFM program.The session is designed to enable participants to:> Understand effective studying practices for exams> Learn about study tips, learner types, dealing with stress and approachesto a variety of different question types> Understand the competencies and curriculum the exam will cover,along with learning objectives,sources and content summaries> Write a practice exam> Receive special coaching and direction on selected topicsThis year Preparation Sessions were held in May <strong>2008</strong> and October <strong>2008</strong>with a total of thirty five attending - an increase of over 200% over last year.Thank you to our Volunteer Exam MarkersAFOA could not deliver its programs without our members who volunteertheir services on behalf of aspiring CAFMs. This year AFOA put a call outfor qualified CAFMs to volunteer to deliver the Exam Preparation Sessionand to serve as Markers with encouraging results.
