There are twelve hundreddifferent kinds of buttercups. They grow best in cooler parts ofthe Northern Temperate Zone. Garden flowers belonging to thebuttercup family may have symmetrically shaped flowers as do thePeony, anemone, and love-in-mist. Others, such as columbine,monkshood and larkspur, bear flowers which are irregular or onesidedin shape.
