Eaton ...In September 2005 Eaton Corporation acquiredthe industrial filtration business ofHayward Industries, Inc. The Hayward filtrationbusiness has been integrated intoEaton’s Fluid Power Group as the FiltrationDivision. Eaton’s Filtration Division is a globalleader in products that include pipeline strainers, bag filtration systems, and gas/liquidseparators for industrial and commercialcustomers worldwide. Primary markets includegeneral industrial, petro-chemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, power utilities, marine, and water.BAG FILTRATION SYSTEMSEaton’s bag filter housings and filter bags areused by industries around the world and aremanufactured worldwide to global standards.Customers can choose from a complete lineof single and multi-bag filter housings designedto meet the needs of the most demandingapplications. The choice of single bag filterhousings range from those suitable forexacting absolute filtration applications tohigh quality housings designed especially forcost sensitive applications...and everything inbetween. Multi-bag housings that accommodateup to 36 individual filter bags for flowrates of up to 1000 m 3 /h are available in anumber of different designs. Eaton offers afull range of filter bags...more than 1500 choicesin all. From economical sewn filter bagsfor standard applications to welded, multilayeredbags for demanding applications.CARTRIDGE FILTRATION SYSTEMSEaton’s broad range of filter cartridges givescustomers wide flexibility in choosing filtrationsolutions. Available are nominal and absoluterated melt blown, string wound, resin bondedand activated carbon cartridges, filtermodules, stainless steel and plastic filter housings.PIPELINE STRAINERSEaton’s pipeline strainers are used by industrialand commercial customers to protecttheir process piping equipment by removingdebris from the liquid that flows through pipelines.Products include automatic self-cleaningstrainers as well as manual, duplex, simplex, and Y- strainers. Both cast and fabricatedtype strainers are made in standard configurationsto meet the needs of most applications. For unique, complex, or specializedapplications, a pipeline strainer can be designedand manufactured to meet the exactrequirements of the application with no compromises.GAS/LIQUID SEPARATORSEaton’s gas/liquid separators protect expensivesystem components, such as turbines, byremoving potentially damaging moisture andparticulate matter from air, gas, and steamlines.COMMITMENT TO GLOBAL MARKETSEaton’s bag filtration systems, cartridge filtrationsystems, pipeline strainers, and gas/liquidseparators have each been developed into aglobal product line which is manufacturedworldwide in multiple locations to a commondesign standard yet in compliance with localcode requirements. This lets Eaton customersworldwide choose the pipeline strainer, bag filter, or gas/liquid separator that meetstheir exact requirements without compromise.Local sales and technical support specialistsare always available to review the needs ofan application with the customer and recommendspecific solutions.EATON CORPORATIONEaton is a diversified industrial manufacturerwith 2005 sales of $11.1 billion. Eaton is aglobal leader in electrical systems and componentsfor power quality, distribution, andcontrol; fluid power systems and services forindustrial, mobile, and aircraft equipment;intelligent truck drivetrain systems for safetyand fuel economy; and automotive engine airmanagement systems, powertrain solutions, and specialty controls for performance, fueleconomy, and safety. LOFDISC Filter ModuleLOFDISC filter modules are used in closed systems, unlike filter sheets.LOFDISC filter modules are made of either pure cellulose/diatomaceousearth filter sheets or activatedcarbon tinctured sheets. Each module contains 16 singlecells (standard). Each cell has a drainage systemthrough which the liquid drains from outside to inside.LOFDISC filter modules canbe sterilized:a) In an autoclave at 121°Cfor 20 minutes.b) With steam (1 bar) for 20 minutes in a closed filter housing.c) Chemically, though not very common. A non oxidizing media must beapplied if this method is used. For wetting and removal of air and other particles, pre-washing of the filterunit (filter housing and module) with high purity water is necessary.Cold water: 100 l per module through the system one time.Hot water: 20 l per module to be circulated for 30 minutes.Application examples:Wine, beer, fruit juice, mineral water, beverages, pure water, pre-filter for protection of membranefilter systems, pharmaceutical, cosmetical and chemical products, lacquerTechnical Data and Materials:Type 3AC Type 4ACNumber of Cells: 16 16Surface Area/Module: 1.8 m 2 3.6 m 2Outside Diameter: 300 mm 400 mmInside Diameter: 150 mm 150 mmHigh: 275 mm 275 mmMax. POLYLINE Multiple Cartridge HousingPOLYLINE multiple cartridge housings are heavy-duty filterhousings made of glass-reinforced polypropylene. Thesehousings are made in one piece without any welds. Allinserts are also molded in one piece, free of welds. The housing can fit five filter cartridges of 30” length.Cartridges to be used can be DOE (double open end) orSOE 222 (with double O-ring).The cover is screwed onto the housing sealed with an FPMO-ring. The cover features a vent as standard. The housing is equipped with an inlet (N1) and two outlets(N2) for in-line or loop piping connections. The unused outletcan either be plugged or can be used as a drain. The filter housing is supplied with either 2” BSP female connectionsor 2” ANSI/DIN flanges. The filter housing has a self-supporting integral bottommounting flange. It can be bolted in the floor for additionalsecurity. No additional leg assembly is needed.Working pressure (bar)Working Pressure (bar)11109876543210allowable workingpressure at temp.20 30 40 50 60 70 80 90 100 110 120 130Temperature o CTechnical Data:POLYLINE Type PCF-530-P-10 PCF-530-P-10-FMax.
