Unique BeautyMaintaining Your Summer Tan10 11Reasons people need massage can very often tend tobe related to their jobs, their posture, past injuries, stress levels. Massage helpswith all of that. After a holiday we come back glowing but in no timeat all we feel like it has faded and our last sign of asummer holiday is a distant memory. But there areways to look after that tan and ensure a healthy glowfor a little longer. Making sure the skin is smooth andmoisturised is key, so regular exfoliation and use ofa good body lotion or cream will help tremendously. This will ensure any dead skin is removed and onlyhealthy glowing skin is revealed, meaning any productsapplied will work that bit more. The more moisturisedthe skin is the better and longer the colour will last. AtTHE SERENITY SUITE we provide a package called theSMOOTH AND SOOTHE. A popular treatment pre and post holidays! Some people dolike to keep the tan topped up with regular spray tans. A light and subtle spray canenhance your colour and provide a natural, healthy glow all year round. Exfoliationbefore a tan ensures a super smooth and even application, and moisturising after willhelp it to last longer. So give it a try if youhaven’t already! Everyonedeserves to be pamperedand relaxed at some point!Even if it is just once amonth! It is important tolook after ourselves, toswitch off occasionally andre charge our batteries! Ifyou ache that is your body’sway of screaming ‘I need amassage, book in for a massage!’ So look after yourself:-) remember…. Maintenance NOT injury!!See you next month!Best WishesMaria xMASSAGE AND ITS BENEFITSNot only does it aid the body in relaxation but massagehelps in many ways to reduce stress, aches and pains, health of our muscles, circulation, sleeping and generalwell-being.As we say at THE SERENITY SUITE…. It is better to haveregular massage as maintenance, than to not have itregular and result in having to sort an injury, becausemuscles haven’t been cared for. Most people go every4 to 6 weeks with massage treatments to ensure theykeep tension and knotting right down. A common placefor stress and tension to build up is around the neckand shoulder area. This often leads to people sufferingfrom neck pain and often tension headaches. Usingour specialist techniques and methods we are able toeliminate a lot of that tension, meaning a lot of peopleactually fall asleep when having their treatment. We offer a range of differentmassage treatments so there is something for everyone. Men and women of all agesenjoy and benefit from massage. We provide regular/Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, hot stone massage,Indian head massage and pregnancy massage. The Serenity Suite provide a largerange of treatments including:Waxing, eye care, spray tans, body scrubs, body wraps, massage, facials, ear candling, manicures, pedicures, electrical facialsand much more!

Introtweet18 19How to increase your Facebook engagement –the organic way!As Facebook makes it harder & harder for business owners to get there content seenthe importance of tips to get organic Facebook reach increases. Many pages now payto promote their page or individual posts as they feel this is now the only way to getnoticed. Whilst Facebook advertising can be a highly useful & very effective tool fortargeting your audience; not every business can afford to consistently do so.Read below for some of my top tips about how to ensure your posts get noticedwithout you paying & encourage your audience to engage with you organically.3. Share valuable content! Before you share a post on Facebook consider yourreason for sharing it... does it provide value for your audience? Is it a useful tip? Is itfunny? Is it a great video/picture? Does it further explain your services? If so, carry on- if not, don’t post it! Consistently sharing posts that may not answer the questionsabove will lead to little engagement on your page & a spiral down to reaching hardlyany of your Facebook audience. On the other hand - sharing VALUABLE contentconsistently will lead to frequent interaction & increased enquiries/sales!4. Mix it up! Don’t just share the same content type’s day in day out on Facebook- this will lead to Facebook lowering the amount of people who see your posts.Instead share a mix of text posts, videos, and website links to keep your audienceinterested. Also, why not consider how you can use the event, offer & milestonebutton on your business posts?Thank you for reading & I hope you found these tips really valuable! Let me knowhow you get on & if you have any engagement tips & success stories of your own toshare do get in touch!1. Ask questions! Each time you create a Facebook post ask your audiencequestions to encourage a response - it’s human nature to respond! Ask for theiropinion, their favourite design, ask them to share their own ideas/tips - give it a go!2. Engage with others! The most successful way to ensure you always haveengagement on your Facebook business page or group is to take the time toengage with others. Scroll through your newsfeed, pop over to the pages of localbusiness, search for your target audience & chat to them. Comment on their mostrecent posts, write on their wall & start to build your relationship. Pages yoursupport & engage with are highly likely to do the same for you.Laura Brown – Introtweet

Cheltenham News36 37Cheltenham cemetery: Five refurbishment options considered for siteThe public are being consulted over five options for the Bouncer Lane site. Some£7m could be spent on a new chapel and cremation building as part of plans torefurbish a cemetery in Cheltenham. It is one of five options being considered for the Bouncer Lane site, which couldalso see land and buildings sold off - or the option to do nothing. Last year staff hadto work around-the-clock due to faults with one of the centre’s two cremators. They cost more than £650,000 to install in 2012 but the council said they had “neverrun properly”.The council’s woes had been exasperated as the company that installed thecremators went out of business. But as some of the five options are “considerably more expensive” it would looka number of other options to cover the costs. These include increasing cemetery fees, selling assets on the sites, seekinggrants, or increasing council tax.But Cheltenham Borough Council said it would also look at how it couldgenerate extra income by using one of the chapel buildings as a cafe or wakevenue. It is now asking the public to have their say on the most appropriate option in anonline questionnaire.‘Extra income’A spokesman said as the existing cremators have “at best” a four-year lifespan, theauthority is looking at the wider options for the site as part of their replacementprocess.

UniqueSportsGloucester Rugby46 47“Personally, I’m doing some extra weights sessions but you’ve got to manage itsensibly - you have to get fit as well as bulk up. I need to put a bit a bit of sizeon but it’s all about getting in the best possible shape.” James Hook is currentlyaway in Doha, training with Wales ahead of Rugby World Cup 2015. There are noguarantees that Hook will make the final Wales squad, but Burns insists that itdoesn’t affect his preparations. The first phase of preseason training is almost over for theGloucester Rugby firstteam squad. It’s been tough, but Billy Burns is working hard to be in the best possibleshape for the upcoming season.Boxing and water polo have featured alongside the traditional weights, running andball skills over the past few weeks. However, the professionalism of the squad sawthem report back in good condition and ready to work hard according to Burns.“It’s been really good. We got all the testing out of the way, which was one of thoseweeks that you don’t really look forward to! But everyone worked hard in the offseasonand came back in pretty good shape so I think that the coaches were fairlyhappy.“So now we’ve moved on to the real work and we’re getting stuck into the rugby sideof things.“For me, that’s something I can’t control. First and foremost I hope Hooky gets in,he deserves it for the way he played last season. He did massive things for us andI think he deserves to be in there.“For me it would also be nice as it would hopefully open up the door to give mea little chance. But I can’t control whether Hooky is in or not. All I can do is makesure I’m in the best possible shape ready to take it on if that happens.“Last year it was great for me to get the opportunities that I did, I learnt a lot fromthe guys like Hooky, Aled Thomas who was here, Greig and Billy.“If those guys are away I definitely feel ready. Last year I handled myself well inthe games I was involved in but there’s still plenty to work on.”Having just turned 21, he’s hardly a veteran. However, there are already a coupleof younger players coming through the ranks, capable of playing outside half.Burns insists that the competition is healthy for everyone.“It’s only good for me. We’ve been lucky at the club to have some good fly halveshere. The likes of Lloyd Evans and Matty Protheroe are coming through and couldboth be great players, and I can learn things from them and vice versa.“So, it keeps you on your toes. I know that if I’m not performing then there areguys who can step in. It makes me work that little bit harder on my game, but weall work together as a group to try and improve each other.”
