Application and Operation of Freedom of Information Act 1982The Freedom of Information Act 1982 allows the public a right of access to documents held by the authority.The Board is considered to be a ‘Government Agency’ under the terms of the Freedom of Information Act1982. Accordingly, it is required to comply with the procedures that have been prescribed under whichmembers of the public may gain access to information held by agencies.A decision to release information is made by either the Principal Officer or an Authorised Officer.
