For the northern part of theStubaital, the ASTER image has a cloud cover of 2% and for the southern part ithas a cloud cover of 8%. In table 3.4 specications of the used satellite images arelisted.Due to the cloud cover in the ASTER images it is not possible to analyse all glaciersin Stubaital. Especially in the southern part of Stubaital the clouds cover nearlyhalf of the glaciered area. Figure 3.1 shows the area that both sensors, the ASTERsensor and the Landsat 5 TM sensor, cover.
