an annual market for regional farm products, the Wurstmarkt is
now dominated by the vintners of neighboring Rheinland-Pfalz.
A 1,700,000-liter wine keg housing a restaurant symbolizes the
dimensions of this popular Weinfest. Relax in a fest tent and test
the produce of the surrounding vineyards or roam the massive
fairgrounds and enjoy the vibrant atmosphere of a harvest
festival. Modern day carnival attractions provide for family fun and the local gastronomy offers
simple to sophisticated dining, including, of course, Bratwurst! Don’t miss this great fest right
next door in Rheinland-Pfalz.

Join the USO on a Rössler Linie ship as we enjoy the spectacular
views of the Rhein River valley. After cruising up to the Loreley
and enjoying a delicious, light German-style cold dinner (rolls,
bread, cheeses, sausages, etc.), we join the parade of boats to see
the spectacular fireworks displays. Tonight’s special display is in
Oberwesel, a quaint little town on the left side of the Rhein that
is famous for its annual wine market. So come along and enjoy
a relaxing evening on the river with the USO. Don’t forget to bring Euros for drinks! Outside
food and drinks are not allowed aboard the vessel. For your own safety, we reserve the right to
