The 13th Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business (APK) will be held from 1st to 3rd
November 2012 at Gurgaon, Delhi. This event is organised biannually in Asia since 1986
and has evolved into the largest German networking event in the region attracting political as
well as business leaders. More than 700 decision makers attended the last APK held in
Singapore in 2010.
The organisers of the APK include the German Chambers of Commerce abroad (AHKs), the
Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA) as well as the German Federal Ministry of
Economics and Technology (BMWi). The Asia-Pacific Committee is supported by the
Dr. Philipp Rösler
“The 13th Asia-Pacific Conference brings strong partners together. German industry has much to
offer the Asia-Pacific region – one of the world's most dynamic economic areas – when it comes to
innovative technologies and expertise that can help address future challenges such as those that
accompany ongoing urbanisation processes. This cooperation will generate growth and
development for both sides.“
Peter Löscher
Chairman, Asia-Pacific Committee of
German Business and CEO, Siemens AG
“For Germany, globalisation and prosperity are closely associated. The Asia-Pacific region will
remain a key market for German companies in the years to come. The region faces challenges
such as urbanisation and demographic change. We want to actively support policy makers in
mastering these challenges. This conference is a perfect platform for the exchange of ideas
between companies and decision makers in Asia. I am looking forward to discussing these issues
in our community and with our partners in the region.“
