If you recycle plastics or dispose of them in a landfill, EcoChoice ® has your best environmental
intentions covered. EcoChoice ® products will biodegrade* when disposed of in a municipal landfill
and will not affect a product’s recycling characteristics.
EcoChoice ® Products will biodegrade in a landfill, residential composting, commercial composting,
or when buried in the ground, tilled into the soil, etc. In short, when it is time to dispose of an
EcoChoice ® product, your options to do something good for the environment are almost limitless.
And with the cost being the same as non-biodegradable items of the same type, why wouldn’t you

FAQ
Do the EcoChoice ® products have a limited shelf life like starch-based plastics?
No. EcoChoice ® products require an anaerobic (oxygen deprived) environment to begin their decomposition process;
this is the type of environment that exists in a typical municipal landfill.
Can EcoChoice ® products still be recycled?
Yes! Unlike starch-based plastics, EcoChoice ® products are readily recyclable.
Do EcoChoice ® products really biodegrade, or do they simply breakdown into smaller pieces?
EcoChoice ® products are proven to biodegrade and render inert humus, CO2, and methane based on the standards
established by the ASTM D5511 test conducted by an independent research laboratory.
How expensive are EcoChoice ® products?
Tolco is committed to this revolutionary technology. We do not believe doing something good for our environment should
be cost prohibitive, as such, our EcoChoice ® products will be priced comparable to our standard offerings of the same
product.
What special practices are required for EcoChoice ® products to biodegrade?
With EcoChoice ® it is business as usual. If it is most cost effective for you to dispose of in a waste receptacle, please
continue to do so. If you prefer to recycle your plastics, feel free to continue to do so. EcoChoice ® makes being green
simple and cost effective, as it should be.
