General Information Please bring your CD-ROM or your memory stick to the media check-in in the CHEMIE - seminar room at least two hours prior to your session. For morning sessions you should provide your presentation already the evening before (before 5 pm). Please do not use Windows Vista for preparing your presentation (the presentation has to be compatible with Office 2003). All presentations will be deleted after the conference. Poster presentations All submitted abstracts that have not been selected for oral presentation are presented as posters. The poster exhibition will take place in the KIP. The poster format should be A0 (width 0.9 m and height 1.3 m). Larger posters cannot be mounted on the poster boards. We will have 2 poster exhibitions due to limited space: Poster session I – Thursday 14:30 – 16:30 h: the posters should be mounted on Wednesday 10:00 – 15:00 h and removed directly after the first poster session. Note that posters which have not been removed on Thursday, 18:00 h, will be taken down. Poster session II – Friday 13:45 – 15:45 h: the posters should be mounted on Thursday (18:00 – 19:00) and Friday (9:00 – 10:00) and removed on Saturday. Posters that are not removed until 15:00 will be taken down. Lunch Symposia The two lunch-symposia are free of charge, but each of them is restricted to 100 participants only. Therefore, an online-registration was compulsory. Upon successful registration you will receive a lunch symposium ticket along with your personal congress documents. Conference Dinner / Banquet The Banquet will take place on Friday March 7 th , 2008 at 20:00 at the Zeughaus in Heidelberg/Altstadt. It is restricted to 450 participants only. Therefore, an onlineregistration was compulsory. You will receive the banquet ticket along with your personal conference documents. A party will be organized in the neighbouring “Lesecafé” to conclude the evening. Food and Beverages During the coffee breaks, coffee and tea with small snacks will be offered without charge. For lunch breaks you can either take the opportunity to go to the Congress Buffet organized in the Mensa, or visit one of the small restaurants you will find going from the Mensa in direction to the DKFZ (German Cancer Research Center), but here the seating is very limited. In the Mensa, a buffet will be reserved for congress participants exclusively. Mensa tokens will be sold on-site at the registration desk. If you booked the tokens online, you will receive them along with your personal congress documents. Get together On Wednesday (March 5 th , 2008) at 18:00 h we will organize a get-together for everyone in the Chemie-Foyer. The registration fee includes this event. XX

Youth hostel: Heidelberg has a youth hostel close to the conference venue: http://www.jugendherberge-heidelberg.de/ Please contact the youth hostel directly and as early as possible, as the number of beds is limited (485 beds) and we do not have a booked contingent for this meeting. How to reach the GfV Meeting: The meeting will be held in the Chemiezentrum, Building 252, Neuenheimer Feld. The Neuenheimer Feld comprises the University Hospital, the German Cancer Research Center, the Science faculties of Heidelberg University, the Max Planck Institute for Medical Research, the Technology Park and many other institutions. You can reach it easily from the main station taking e.g. the tram No. 24 and from the city center (Bismarckplatz) taking bus No. 31 and 32 (both in direction “University hospital – Neuenheimer Feld”). Public transport Your personal name badge includes the Kombi-Ticket for the public transport in and around Heidelberg (VRN). It will be valid from Wednesday March 5 th , until Saturday March 8 th , 2008. Parking Please use public transport to reach the Neuenheimer Feld!!! Parking space will be very limited in Neuenheimer Feld and liable to parking fees (ca. 5 EUR/day). Parking will be possible at the parking sites P10 – P13 (see Map p. IV) XXI
