26. Blood Donation Camp
For the 1 st time, a Blood Donation Camp was organized in the Institute in
association with NSS and District Hospital Muktsar on 15.2.2012. Faculty, Staff
& Students participated in the camp and 150 units of Blood were donated. Dr.
Gurdip Singh, Civil Surgeon, Muktsar inaugurated the camp.
27. Financial Position and Audit Status
Financial position of the institution has improved by filling of maximum number of
seats and reducing dropout rate of students. Audit Status of the institution is up-todate.
No major observation is pointed out by the AG department. The audit report is
considerably good. All the financial reports including Balance Sheet and Audit Report
have been reported to the Finance Committee.
28. AICTE Workshop
Attended one day AICTE Workshop on, “National Vocational Education
Qualification Framework in Punjab,” on 21 st April 2012 in SLIET Lonogowal. The
Chairman AICTE presented the NVEQF in Punjab. Sh Ashok Thakur, IAS, Secretary
Technical Education, MHRD, Govt of India was the Chief Guest.
29. Good Governance
Good governance is on the active agenda. Seven point agenda was given to faculty,
staff and students namely; Discipline amongst faculty, staff and students, academic
environment, improvement in technical teaching learning process, placements,
development of need based infrastructure, human resource development and
accreditation of institute from NBA. All faculty, staff and student are working on
these agenda to the full of their potential and efficacy.
30. Placement of Faculty and Staff and their Regularization
Faculty and staff strength was less than 20%. Some faculty and staff have been
appointed and some have been placed under CAS. The services of 11 faculty and staff
have been regularized to make the strength of the faculty and staff considerably good.
In addition to this, improvement in discipline, academic environment, technical
teaching learning process, regularization of faculty and staff, need based infrastructure
development, human recourses development, optimization utilization of available
human recourses and good governance are also notable achievements/performances as
Principal in association with all faculty, staff and 1400 students for development of
corporate life at all levels in the institute.
