As in the past few years, the members of the nD<br />
simmental classic sale and the members of the northwest select<br />
sale will be holding a junior futurity show in conjunction with the nD<br />
state Fair show. All open females sold in these two sales will be<br />
eligible to compete at the nD state Fair in July 2010. the number<br />
of entries determines the number of classes. the show will be<br />
immediately following the nDJsA show. only the champion and<br />
Reserve will receive a savings bond. the champion will receive an<br />
$800 savings bond and the Reserve champion will receive a $400<br />
savings bond.<br />
the only other requirement to compete in the futurity<br />
show is that you are a member of the nD Junior simmental<br />
<strong>Association</strong> and the cost of the membership is $5.00. We hope to<br />
see you at the nD state Fair and good luck!<br />

Donation Heifer Auction Procedure<br />
• The final bid in each round will denote the amount of that bidder’s donation.<br />
Round 1 – Final bid is $300 to John Doe. John’s donation is $300.<br />
Round 2 – Final Bid is $250 to Joe Public. Joe’s donation is $250<br />
subsequent Rounds – the female is re-auctioned until no further bids are<br />
received at the low of $10.<br />
• Each $10 donation represents one chance in the final draw.<br />
in the example above, John has 30 changes and Joe has 25.<br />
• One ticket for each $10 donated, bearing the contributor’s name,<br />
will be put into the drawing.<br />
• At the end of the sale, one ticket will be drawn and that person will win the heifer.<br />
