Cull Ewes & Rams: 133 (ave. £50.31 / top £85.00)
(Same week 2010: 189 averaged £47.92 & topped £72.00)
Plenty of lean ewes this week will not have helped the average. However, any
with meat on were a firmer trade. Messrs J and K Wilson had £85.00 for
continental cross. Messrs R Phizacklea and Co had £77.00 for continental cross
and Mr E A Woodfield £70.00 for Suffolk cross. It might be an idea to hang on to
your ewes if they are a bit on the lean side and wait until the trade picks up.
