Printing stationery
Sealed tenders affixed with revenue stamp worth Rs. 6/- are invited from registered
Printers having TIN and PAN in the name of Firm, for undertaking the printing and
supply of Printed material of Black/Multi-Colored Books, Journals, Magazines,
Newsletters, Prospectus etc for the year 2012-13, on below mentioned terms and
conditions. The details of the items alongwith their specifications are given in the
Annexure A to B. Tenders should be addressed to the Registrar, University of Kashmir,
Hazratbal, Srinagar and should reach his office by 14 th August, 2012 upto 3 p.m.
Terms and Conditions
1. The tenders should be addressed to the Registrar, University of Kashmir, Srinagar
and should reach the office at the University Campus.
2. The sealed envelope containing the tender should be superscribed
“TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY OF PRINTING ITEMS.”
3. Each tender should be accompanied by attested Photostat copies of TIN,PAN in
the name of firm and upto date Tax (VAT) Clearance Certificate on the prescribed
Form 46 issued by Assessing Authority of the concerned Department.
4. Each tender should be accompanied by registered printer certificate alongwith
details of installed printing infrastructure;
5. Each tender should be accompanied by Earnest money of Rs. 50,000/-
(Rupees Fifty thousand) in the form of University /CDR. Pledged to Registrar.
(The earlier tenderers require deposit additional amount of Rs. 20,000/- as
they have already deposited Rs. 30,000/-).
6. The tenders should be typed/computerized on printed valid letter-heads of the
firm. The tenders with over-writings/cuttings or with additions/alternation made
therein shall be rejected. The rates should be quoted both in figures and words,
secured with transparent tape. Signature with seal should be affixed on all pages of
the tender document duly covered.
7. Rates quoted should be inclusive of cost of designing/composing/printing/paper of
different GSM;
8. Rates quoted should be inclusive of all taxes and FOR University of Kashmir.
9. Each tender should be given as per the sample available in the office of
Printing & Stationery.
10. Conditional tenders will not be entertained;
11. No tender, deficient in any respect, shall be entertained.

12. No payment shall be made for the supply, if not found as per the specification,
other penalties apart;
13. The rates finally accepted and approved shall remain in force upto end of financial
year 2012-2013 or till the new rates are notified;
14. The university reserves the right to negotiate the rates with the bidders;
15. The university reserves the right to accept or reject any tender in part or full
without assigning any reason thereof;
16. In case of any dispute, decision of the Vice-Chancellor shall be final and binding
on the parties.
17. The right to appeal will be within the jurisdiction of Srinagar courts only.
18. A detailed performance report be attached with the tender document (especially
University work)
