About the authors<br />
Árný Helga Reynisdóttir (arny@verslo.is) is an upper secondary school<br />
teacher at Verzlunarskóli <strong>Íslands</strong> (The Commercial College of Iceland). She<br />
holds a B.A. degree in English from Albright College, Pennsylvania, a<br />
teaching degree and a M.Ed. degree in Teaching and Learning Studies from<br />
the University of Iceland. Most of her career she has taught English and<br />
worked as an administrator at Menntaskólinn á Akureyri. She has directed<br />
various school development projects emphasizing teacher collaboration<br />
and interdisciplinary learning.<br />
Ingólfur Ásgeir Jóhannesson (ingo@hi.is) is a professor at the University<br />
of Iceland and the University of Akureyri. He holds B.A. and cand.mag.<br />
degrees in history from the University of Iceland and has taught history in<br />
an upper secondary school. He also holds a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction<br />
from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. His research focuses<br />
on education policy, teacher expertise and gender and education.<br />
