The Central Valley Corvette Club was
chartered in 1991 for the owners of the only
real AMERICAN sports car, the awesome
CORVETTE. It's a social organization with
activities that provide enjoyment for the true
Corvette lover.

AT 6.30 P.M. ON THE 3 RD TUESDAY

ATTEND THE MEETINGS AND MEET
OUR MEMBERS.
Club activities include monthly meetings,
car shows, weekend Club activities,
overnighters, picnics, road rallies, summer
cruises, holiday get-to-gathers and more!
Eligibility for membership in CVC is
defined in Article III, section 1 of the
bylaws in part as follows: "Membership in
Central Valley Corvettes shall be open to all
Corvette owners who are sponsored by a
member in good standing. Additionally, a
prospective member must, within a three
month period , attend two consecutive
meetings, participate in two club sanctioned
social activities, pay current membership
dues and initiation fees, and be approved by
two- thirds vote of membership present at
any general membership meeting by secret
ballot
Sponsors shall be responsible for advising
prospective member of results. All members
must submit proof of personal insurance in
accordance with California State Law upon
application for membership, and all
members must be a member of the
association providing club liability insurance
for CENTRAL VALLEY CORVETTES.
A prospective member who does not have a
sponsor will be provided one by the
membership committee. Non-members may
not participate in more than three meetings
or two sanctioned activities.
CVC membership dues are $67.00 plus an
initiation fee of $35.00. Membership entitles
two members at the same address voting
privileges at meetings (provided they are in
good standing) and membership rights.

Summer is coming to an end and all the
fall fun will be here before we know it.
We’ve got the Bass Lake Lunch Run this
month and the Sugar Pine Railroad Run
in October that will get us up into the
mountains during the best time of the
year up there. We’ve also got Queen
Escort Runs at Firebaugh and Sanger
that are a great way to reconnect with
our high school years. Football,
cheerleaders and queens.
The signup for the Mystery Run is
complete and we have 22 cars signed
up and paid. Dates are still October
25-29 and we will be leaving about
7:30am and be back late afternoon.
More info to follow.
I think we did a great thing as a club
last meeting when we unanimously
voted to donate $1000 to a local
charity. We will vote on which charity
to support at the September meeting.
Our nominated choices are The
Marjorie Mason Center, Rescue the
Children, Children’s Hospital and Got
Your 6. Come to the meeting and
support your favorite.
It’s not too early to check your
calendar and make sure you have
December 10 th marked off for the CVC
Christmas Party and December 13 th for
our annual Hayride. This time of the
year time truly flies.
Our club shirt project was a huge
success and if you want more shirts go
down to StitchMaster and check out
what they have. I think we’re going to
get a couple yellow ones to match our
car. See you all at the next meeting.

$1.75 in badge fines.
Jan Pflepsen gave her Sunshine and Clouds
report.
Club Shirts. Charlie has been organizing the
Club shirt order and tonight is the last night
to order.
The General Meeting was called to order
at 6:30 by President, Gary Pflepsen.
The minutes from the July general
meeting were read by Debby Anderson,
Secretary. Charlotte Renna made a
motion to accept the minutes as read and
it was seconded by Tim Parks. Motion
carried.
Treasurer’s report was given by Mike
Lebda.
Skip Severance, VP of Activities had the
run leaders report on their precious runs.
Future runs of the Bass Lake lunch, Sugar
Pine Railroad, two Queen Halls and the
Presidents Mystery Run were discussed.
Dick Danielsen, VP of PR/Membership
gave the Birthday and Anniversary report.
There were no new members. Currently
we have 54 Corvettes in the club. Scott
Parkin brought Amy Olsen as his guest and
Bob Marine brought George and Myrna
Kurtovich as his guests and possible future
members.
Craig Hansen, Parliamentarian reminded
us that nominations will start in four
weeks.
We had a discussion about the Club making
a charitable donation. Charlotte Renna
made a motion that the club should make a
charitable donation and Fred Parks
Seconded that motion. The club voted and
the motion carried. We decided on four
possible Charity’s:
1. Marjorie Mason Center
2. Rescue the Children
3. Valley Children’s
4. Fresno Vet Center (Got your 6)
We will vote per paper ballot at the
September General Meeting.
The next General Meeting will be September
15, 2015 at 6:30. The next Board Meeting
will be August 25 th at Skip Severance house
at 7:00 pm

Meet at Pacific University parking lot by 2:30pm.
Will be leaving the parking lot at 2:45pm.
We will be meeting at the Pacific University parking lot which is in the River Park
Corporate Complex . The easiest way to get there is to take Fresno Street across
Friant Road into the complex and at the stop sign go left. The Pacific University will be
on you left as you make the left turn.
It is about an hour drive (unless we get stuck behind a slow moving RV or Tractor
Trailer) We should arrive arrive at Sugar Pine Railroad between 3:45 pm and 4:00 pm
which will give us 1 1/2 hours or so prior to dinner at 5:30pm. There are shops there if
you want to buy souvenirs and a gold panning area. We will park in the spacious lower
parking lot. There is an area by the station to drop off any one who has problems
walking uphill. To get from the lower parking lot to the station there is a short stairway
and a ramp.

WHERE YOU NEED TO NOTE THAT YOU ARE WITH THE CENTRAL VALLEY
CORVETTE CLUB SO THEY KNOW HOW MANY TABLES TO RESERVE FOR US
FOR DINNER. TO ACCOMPLISH THIS THEY REQUEST THAT RESERVATIONS BE
MADE NO LATER THAN SEPTEMBER 12th.
Your evening begins with a BBQ dinner with a choice of New York Steak, chicken, or a
vegetarian substitution. The meal is complimented with a summer corn salad, ranchstyle
beans, sourdough dinner roll, and dessert. Complimentary juice, coffee, and
water is offered. There is a bar with sodas, beer, and wine for an additional cost. You
will then board the logger steam train for a ride to the campfire sing-a-long program
hosted by the Sugar Pine Singers. At the conclusion of the evening, you will re-board
the train for a memorable trip up the mountain in the night. The event lasts
approximately three hours.
